Dementia genetics: the first symposium of the DEGESCO consortium

The DEGESCO (Dementia Genetics Spanish Consortium) prepares its first symposium. Under the title “Dementia genetics“, it will be held next 16 and 17 February at the headquarters of the CIEN Foundation in Madrid. DEGESCO is made up of eleven centers that dedicate part of their research work to the genetics of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.

The goal of the organization is to bring together the best experts on genetics of neurodegenerative diseases. The symposium will address a key area in the research reviewing the genetic aspects of the different types of dementia and their implications in the Spanish population. Agustín Ruiz, Scientific Chief Officer at Fundació ACE (which was one of the main promoters for the creation of this consortium), will participate presenting the GR@ACE project.
