The first robotic arm for Alzheimer’s disease patients is presented at the CTAD

RAMCIP (Robotic Assistant for MCI Patients) is a three-year research project which started in January 2015 within the HORIZON2020 programme, funded by the European Commission. It consists on designing and developing a robotic limb to assist people in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

The project is carried out through different work packages shared between the eight participating centres. Researchers of Fundació ACE, due to their experience in the field of patient care, are responsible for determining the needs of the patient that the robot should satisfy.
