Dr. Pascual Sánchez is an expert in dementia research and is the Scientific Director of the Neurological Diseases Research Center Foundation (CIEN), in Madrid. He has been the head of the Cognitive Impairment Unit of the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital in Santander until August 2021, an institution in which he has also held the scientific direction of the Valdecilla Biobank. In addition, he is co-principal investigator of CIBERNED (Network Biomedical Research Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases), member of the executive committee of DEGESCO (Spanish Dementia Genetics Consortium) and author of numerous national and international publications that accumulate more than 7,000 citations.
