Changes in the Board of Trustees of Fundació ACE

At the last meeting of the Board of Trustees on June 21, Mr. Pere Saumoy submitted the resignation of Patrón after 22 years of being a member. The Board of Trustees wishes to publicly express their appreciation for their constant, altruistic and cordial collaboration that has helped strengthen the Foundation.

Mr. Pere Saumoy y Bundó is the Managing Director-General of Saumoy, Ribó & Baiges Assessors, dedicated to advising small and medium-sized businesses in the different areas of economic activity. Mr. Saumoy holds a degree in Economic Sciences from the University of Barcelona, ​​Administrative Manager, Censor Jurado de Cuentas, Real Estate Property Agent and Insurance Corridor.

During 12 years he held the presidency of the College of Administrative Managers of Catalonia, and for the outstanding actions in the field of this profession carried out during his term, which conferred him a recognized prestige and notoriety, he was awarded the title of President of Honor of the College of Administrative Managers of Catalonia.

Mr. Saumoy is also Councilor of the City Council of La Bisbal del Penedès.

At the same meeting, the Board of Trustees decided unanimously, to appoint Mr. Antoni Gelonch and Viladegut, as Secretary of the Board of Trustees, and accepted it. Mr. Antoni Gelonch is a member of the Board of Trustees of the ACE Foundation for 7 years.

His academic background is that of having done the studies of Pharmacy and Law at the University of Barcelona. He is also a graduate in Business Administration from IESE (University of Navarra) and European Studies from the University of Grenoble.

He has professionally worked as a pharmacist at the Hospital de Sant Pau, serving for ten years in the Catalan Public Administration (Chief of Staff and Secretary General of the Department of Education and Director of the Reordering Program for Public Health in the Department of Health) and For 17 years, he has worked in the areas of Corporate Affairs and CSR in pharmaceutical companies (Merck & Co and Sanofi). Since 2013, he is also Director of Corporate Relations at Fundació ACE.
