RCD Espanyol welcomes UAD users on World Alzheimer's Day
About thirty users of the Day Care Unit have visited the RCD Espanyol Sports City to commemorate World Alzheimer's Day together with several players and members of the club's staff.
Ace users have been able to enjoy a training session of the RCD Espanyol B team and share a reminiscence session with the players at the club's facilities.
Amèrica Morera, deputy director of the Ace Day Care Unit, values this activity very positively. “We get our users out of the routine and we can carry out cognitive therapy in a different environment, which greatly enriches therapeutic exercise. In addition, with these types of activities, after a pandemic in which we could not go out, users come happy and relaxed and, in this way, it is much easier to promote socialization and group cohesion".
To end the meeting, Mao Ye, CEO of RCD Espanyol, gave a commemorative t-shirt to the Day Care Unit and scarves were distributed among the users.
From Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona we want to thank RCD Espanyol for its involvement in making Alzheimer's disease visible and its commitment to the early detection of cognitive impairment.
Users of Fundació ACE Day Care Unit visited the Frederic Marès Museum studio-library this june, completing the last outing of the Estimul'Art program within the 2018-19 academic year.
