Fundació ACE joins the #Compassats project

Fundación ACE has joined the project #Compassats, in which volunteer music therapists and musicians have joined together selflessly to send their pieces, with therapeutic suggestions, and to accompany those who live with Alzheimer's, both people affected by the disease and their caregivers, now that as a result of the crisis by the Covid 19 they can not relate beyond home.

The project has been promoted in a selfless way by SINGULAR, Música y Alzheimer, a consultancy firm specialized in music therapy for people affected by dementia and their caregivers. The video presentation of the project featured many familiar faces, including Dr. Mercè Boada, medical director of the ACE Foundation.

#Compassats proposes music therapy based activities through small videos. Each video includes musical performances and proposals for music therapy-based activities so that the caregiver and the person with Alzheimer's can carry them out and enjoy them in company.

The project has the valuable collaboration of volunteer musicians, both amateur and professional, of all ages and styles, who are contributing their talent to bring music into the homes of people with Alzheimer's disease.
