Dr. Boada will speak about managing dementia in times of COVID-19 in an online session
The management of dementia in times of COVID-19 will be the focus of an online session where one of the speakers will be Dr. Mercè Boada, co-founder and medical director of Fundació ACE.
This session, organized by Neuraxpharm within its NeuraxTalks space, will take place next Wednesday 1st July from 7pm to 8pm and prior registration is required.
Dr. Boada will give keys about how the treatment and research of dementia has been managed during the pandemic in a specific Dementia Unit. She will speak as a neurologist and medical director of Fundació ACE, as a professor at the UIC's Faculty of Medicine and as a representative of the Networked Biomedical Research Centre on Neurodegenerative Diseases (CIBERNED), which belongs to the Carlos III Health Institute.
Dr. Guillermo García Ribas, neurologist at the Neurodegenerative Diseases Unit at the Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal in Madrid and one of the coordinators of the kNOW Alzheimer project, will also participate in this online session. Dr. Garcia Ribas will share his experience on managing dementia during the pandemic in a general hospital.
