Dr. Mercè Boada, the neurologist Marta Marquié, the neuropsychologist Montse Alegret, the laboratory manager Adelina Orellana and the postdoctoral researcher Sílvia Alonso are among the Top 5,000 female researchers in Spain that the CSIC has just published with data from Google Scholar.
With an H index of 63 and 23,526 citations, Dr. Boada ranks 138th. She is the co-founder and medical director of Ace and she has been dedicated to dementia research for more than 25 years.
On her part, Dr. Montse Alegret is responsible for the Ace Neuropsychology Unit and an expert in neuropsychological diagnosis and evaluation, being the main promoter of Facememory®, the first online memory evaluation test.
Dr. Marta Marquié is a neurologist and deputy director of Ace's clinical research program. She also coordinates the FACEHBI, NORFACE, AMYPAD projects and our neuropathology cohort.
Finally, Dr. Adelina Orellana is responsible for the Ace Alzheimer Center laboratory. She collaborates with the Diagnostic, Clinical Trials and Research Unit to trace biomarkers and collaborate with the Ace genetic sample bank, the most important in Europe related to dementia. Dr. Sílvia Alonso has been part of Ace since 2020 as a postdoctoral researcher.
The Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) publishes the ranking of Spanish and foreign female researchers in Spain with the aim of increasing the visibility of the country's researchers and their work.
The first edition of the ranking was published in June 2022 according to data from public profiles on Google Scholar. This edition consists of the 5,000 researchers ordered according to the highest H index and, secondarily, by number of citations.
