Ace Alzheimer Center and CAPSBE sign a collaboration agreement

Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona and the Consorci d'Atenció Primària de Salut de l'Eixample (CAPSBE) have signed a collaboration agreement in order to promote research on cognitive disorders and dementia, as well as care improvement through greater coordination between both entities.

Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia among people over 65 years of age, affecting about 50 million people worldwide and this number is expected to reach 82 million by 2050, according to the WHO. Given this scenario, early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease not only improves the quality of life of patients and their families, but also contributes to the advancement of research for the development of new treatments.

Through this collaboration with CAPSBE, we want to strengthen the relationship between primary care and Ace Alzheimer Center to improve early diagnosis of dementia and to offer better care to patients and their families, providing them with more resources. The agreement seeks to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and success stories, promote the development of new projects and improve the support and accompaniment of people with dementia and their families.
