Successful participation in the webinar "Advances in Molecular Neuroimaging"
On Friday, April 30th 2021, the first webinar of the cycle of free seminars Global Research Summit 2021 took place, an event organized by Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona and Grifols, in collaboration with Kern Pharma, whose purpose is to continue promoting knowledge forums among the scientific community dedicated to the research of dementias and other neurodegenerative diseases.
The results of the first webinar have been excellent. With almost 80% permanence during the 2 hours of the event, in total more than 85 attendees of 5 different nationalities joined. Specifically, 77% of the attendees came from Spain, 10% from Canada, 9% from the United States, 2% from Italy and 1% from Denmark.
In addition, the public has valued very positively (4.4 out of 5) the high level of the speakers, the content that was shared and the course of the event.
Likewise, through the satisfaction survey, the attendees at the first online webinar of the Global Research Summit were able to express their opinions about the event and even suggest improvements that we will implement in the second session "Molecular Biomarkers of Neurodegeneration", which will be held on May 28th 2021. Registrations are open on our website.
Advances in Molecular Neuroimaging
This first session of the Global Research Summit was focused on explaining the latest advances in molecular neuroimaging. Thus, Victor L Villemagne, Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh, focused on the novelties in PET and emerging astrocyte neuroimaging markers. For his part, Neil Vasdev, Director of the Brain Health Imaging Centre at CAMH, spoke about emerging PET radiotracers and targets for imaging neuroinflammation.
Thanks to the dynamic format of the webinar, viewers were able to interact with the speakers in a 1-hour question and answer session moderated by Agneta Nordberg, professor at the Karolinska Institutet.
Registration open for the second session
On May 28, 2021 we will celebrate the webinar “Molecular Biomarkers of Neurodegeneration”, from 4:30 p.m. at 6:30 p.m., with presentations by Henrik Zetterberg and Michelle M Mielke, the participation of Charlotte Teunissen in the Q&A session and Agustín Ruiz as host of the day.
