Registrations open for the webinar "Advances in Molecular Neuroimaging"

Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona and Grifols, with the participation of Kern Pharma, promote a conference cycle named “Global Research Summit”. These are a series of free webinars directed towards professionals in the field of dementia with the aim of maintaining scientific discussion and sharing the latest advances in neurodegenerative disease research.

The first session of this cycle will be held online next Friday, April 30, under the title Advances in Molecular Neuroimaging.

International experts in molecular neuroimaging, such as Victor L Villemagne, from the University of Pittsburgh and Dr. Neil Vasdev, from the Brain Health Imaging Centre (CAMH), will present the latest developments regarding the applications of this technique for the study and differential diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases. Subsequently, Professor Agneta Nordberg, from the Karolinska Institutet, will preside over a question and answer session between the panellists and those attending the webinar, of which Dr. Marta Marquié, neurologist at Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona, will be the host.

Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona will bring together the leading experts on dementia in a series of online conferences

The program includes a series of three conferences focused on a current aspect in relation to Alzheimer's disease research and other dementias with the aim of generating participation and synergies between the panellists and those attending the webinars.

Mercè Boada, medical director of Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona, explains that “Global Research Summit was born from the need to continue in constant learning even in the time of COVID-19. On many occasions, the pandemic has put a physical barrier between researchers, but thanks to new technologies knowledge can travel and continued of being transmitted to advance in the knowledge about the origin and development of dementias”.

We have designed these three conferences with the aim of enriching professionals in the field of dementia with the latest research developments, and we will do so in a rigorous and participatory way so that it is as useful and understandable as possible for all our attendees”.
