The 12th edition of the Barcelona-Pittsburgh Conference has been postponed to May 2021
• The organization considers that holding the conference next year is the best option to carry out a great edition with all the health and safety guarantees for the speakers and attendees
Given the current context of uncertainty following the Covid-19, the organizers of the 12th edition of the Barcelona-Pittsburgh Conference, the ACE Foundation - Barcelona Alzheimer Treatment & Research Center and the Alzheimer Disease Research Center of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, have postponed the meeting to May 2021, which was scheduled for 20, 21 and 22 May in Barcelona.
After evaluating all the possible scenarios and taking into account the current situation, in which many countries prohibit or discourage travel, the organization considers that holding the conference next year is the best option for holding a large edition with all the health and safety guarantees for the speakers and attendees.
The scientific committee is determined to design a scientific event that will highlight the hard work of experts in the sector and promote the creation of new networks and synergies that will allow research to continue to grow, and therefore wants to preserve the richness of a face-to-face meeting.
The organisers understand that it is their responsibility and duty to live up to the trust that both the renowned experts who participated in the conference and those who registered have placed in the organisation and, as professionals in the health sector, their top priority is to guarantee the well-being and safety of the speakers, moderators, attendees and conference team.
