The Alzheimer's Night is a charity initiative born in 2015, thanks to the collaboration with the Fundació Castell de Peralada, with the aim of becoming the annual meeting point between society and the scientific community.
The goal of this charity dinner, which this year reaches its fourth edition, is to give voice to the activities of prevention, treatment and research on Alzheimer's and raise awareness on the need to invest in research to advance in the fight against the disease.
The new edition of the Alzheimer's Night will be held on August 1st, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the context of the 35th anniversary gala of the Castell de Peralada Festival.
It will be an evening full of music and entertainment with musical performances, a whole set of experiences that will make the Alzheimer’s Night a special and enriching experience.
Profits obtained from the sale of the tickets will go to the Facememory project. The COVID-19 pandemic has made clear the need to transform health care to reach the entire population. At Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona we want to guarantee that all people concerned about their memory can access an early detection test for cognitive deterioration.
Facememory is a self-administered facial recognition test that has been designed by a team of Ace neuropsychologists with more than 30 years in the diagnosis of dementias. With Facememory, anyone over 50 who is concerned about his memory will be able to know the state of his cognition.
Facememory is a study by Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona whose objective is to investigate innovative ways to detect individuals in early stages of Alzheimer's disease who have not yet been diagnosed. More specifically, Facememory tests the usefulness of online cognitive tests for early detection of this disease.
